Shayne and Kanga are two resilient little lambs who are now looking for their forever flock.
Shayne, our handsome dapple-faced boy, was found alone on the side of the road by a kind-hearted man who refused to leave him behind. He contacted Lamb Care Australia in the middle of the night and brought Shayne safely into our care. Named in honour of the man who saved his life, Shayne has grown from a fragile newborn into a happy, affectionate lamb who loves the company of his friends.
Kanga’s beginning was equally challenging. Born as one of triplets, she became trapped in a hole while trying to follow her mother. In her desperate attempts to free her baby, her mother’s efforts accidentally injured Kanga’s back leg. By the time she arrived in care she was cold, sore and showing neurological symptoms, but with warmth, rest and four days of splinting, she made an incredible recovery.
Today, Kanga is thriving. Full of confidence and curiosity, she doesn’t let her difficult start define her.
Together, Shayne and Kanga have left their difficult beginnings behind and are ready for the next chapter of their lives. They are looking for a loving forever home where they can continue to grow, explore and enjoy the happy, safe life that every lamb deserves.
