Cedar and Cypress arrived into care on a cold, grey winter’s day, two tiny lambs, each alone in the world, each with a story that tugged deeply at our hearts.
Cypress had been rejected by his mum, left to face the harshness of drought and winter on his own. A quiet little soul, he arrived fragile but determined, and we named him after the resilient cypress tree, a symbol of strength and hope.
Not long after, Cedar came into our lives, another solitary lamb in need. From the moment he arrived, Cedar leaned into every cuddle with complete trust, curling into laps and resting his head against warm hands. He brought with him a gentle calm, like a small cedarwood ember glowing against the cold.
Now, weeks later, these two boys are thriving. They’ve formed a strong and beautiful bond – rarely apart, always looking for each other. You’ll often find them curled up together on the couch, completely content in each other’s company. Cedar still loves a snuggle (especially if it involves a warm lap), and Cypress has found his spark, bouncing around with growing confidence before settling down for his favourite thing — a nap beside his best friend.
Their journey is a quiet reminder of what love, safety, and connection can do. From uncertain beginnings to a life filled with warmth, Cedar and Cypress are a testament to the resilience of rescued animals and the healing power of care.
