Little Mocha arrived into care after being found struggling to walk beside his very emaciated mum. Despite her own condition, she was doing everything she could to feed and care for her little boy while fighting to survive herself.
When Mocha first arrived, he was terrified of people. Every movement and every sound seemed frightening. But with patience, kindness and gentle care, that frightened little lamb has completely blossomed. Today, Mocha is a confident, affectionate little boy who adores cuddles and happily seeks out his human carers for attention.
We believe Mocha was battling joint ill when he first came into care. Thankfully, with medication, supportive care and time, he has made a full recovery. Watching him go from a fragile little lamb struggling to walk to the playful, healthy boy he is today has been incredibly rewarding.
Mocha is now enjoying everything lambhood should be about racing around with his friends, playing, exploring and making the most of every day.
One of the most special parts of his journey has been seeing him reconnect with family. Sheep form incredibly strong bonds and recognise those they love. Watching Mocha surrounded by familiar faces has been a beautiful reminder that even after a difficult beginning, love and connection can still be found.
Mocha’s story is one of resilience, recovery and hope, and we can’t wait to watch this beautiful little boy continue to grow.
