Nora’s story could have ended before it had even begun.
She was found lying amongst the rushes on a neighbouring property, barely alive. She was so weak she couldn’t stand, and for three long days she remained on the ground.
The farmer who found her brought her home and did everything he could to keep her alive. He kept her warm, fed her and gave her the time she needed to regain her strength. Slowly, Nora began to recover.
Realising she needed more specialised care, he contacted Lamb Care Australia. While he explained they couldn’t keep her as they run Merinos, we also suspect he was concerned about her injured shoulder and wanted to make sure she received the care she needed.
Now safe in care, Nora is continuing her recovery and has found comfort in another little lamb, Halo. The two have formed a beautiful friendship, giving each other the companionship every lamb deserves.
She is here because someone made a different choice. Instead of walking away, they stopped. Instead of leaving her where she lay, they gave her a chance.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes to change a life.
