Raven and Cassian’s stories began with heartbreak and uncertainty, but today these two boys are thriving in foster care and proving just how resilient lambs can be.
When Raven was found, he was lying beside his mum and twin sibling, who had both sadly passed away. Raven himself was suffering from hypothermia and was cold, weak, and barely holding on. With crows already descending, time was running out. He was brought into care just in time, and in those first hours his survival was far from guaranteed.
Cassian’s journey remains largely unknown. Found alone on the side of a highway, we may never know how he came to be there or what he endured before rescue. What we do know is that beneath it all was a sweet, gentle little boy waiting for a chance.
Since being paired in foster care, Raven and Cassian have formed a wonderful friendship. They spend their days grazing, exploring, playing, and enjoying the comfort of having a companion by their side. Their bond has helped both boys grow in confidence, and it is rare to see one without the other close by.
Today, Raven is a far cry from the tiny lamb who fought so hard simply to survive. Full of life and curiosity, he has embraced every opportunity his second chance has given him. Cassian continues to win hearts with his affectionate nature and gentle personality, bringing a calm and steady presence to their partnership.
