Mila arrived as a tiny 2.1kg baby and was kept alive during her early days in one of our Intensive Care Units. When lambs are born at such a low weight they are very susceptible to glucose levels dropping which can cause their body temperature to drop dangerously low. Once a lamb is hypothermic they risk organ damage and subsequent death.
We are pleased to say that Mila responded very well in care and is now a healthy, though small, lamb who is loving life.
