Herbert’s energy never stops. From the time he wakes up in the morning he is on the go except for short sleeps after each bottle that seems to recharge him until the next bottle and sleep. He is constantly exploring and interacting with the other lambs. Once they get tired and want to rest, off Herbert goes on his own to see how many new adventures he can experience in one day. Maybe due to his high vitality during the day, at night he sleeps like a log and never utters a sound. Herbert also likes to sing and his baa is surprisingly loud for someone so small. He doesn’t yet have a friend but we hope will soon be paired with someone. We think this someone will need to be laid back in temperament to balance out the dynamic personality of Herbert and maybe encourage him to take a few more sleeps during the day!
Andrea was one of those very sad cases where she spent the first 2 weeks of her life with her mum by side caring for her every need until, sadly, her mum died. These are always heart wrenching cases as the lambs have had time to bond with their mum and usually show very clear signs of grief. Andrea was lame in the rear leg on arrival and had some damage to her tail. A vet visit has set her on the path to healing physically but her emotional pain is still evident. She is dealing with her grief in her own way and prefers to hang back and quietly watch what goes on around her. During the day she prefers to sleep on her own but we are glad to say she cuddles up with everyone else at night. In line with her reserved nature, Andrea enjoys time with her carer but prefers a neck rub to being held.
We think that Herbert’s energy and the quietness of Andrea will be a good mix and they will complement each other well.
