Meaning “warrior” Anakin has been aptly named. One of a twin rejected by his mother, he was surrendered into our care today. Hypothermic, barely conscious and convulsing he was very close to death. We warmed his tiny body in a bath to raise his core temperature, dried him with a hair dryer and wrapped him in blankets in front of the fire. Slowly his eyes opened and the tiniest baaa came from his mouth. He was given glucose and a vitamin injection then finally got to enjoy his very first life sustaining bottle of colostrum. He drank the whole lot!! Welcome to our little warrior.
